Car Rental Rabat

Rabat is Morocco's capital city and one of its four imperial cities — a well-planned, relatively easy city to navigate by car compared to Marrakech or Casablanca. Wide boulevards, clear signage, and lighter traffic make it a comfortable base. A rental car from Rabat gives easy access to Salé across the river, the Atlantic coastal road north to Kenitra and Asilah, Meknès (1.5 hours east), and Casablanca (1 hour south via the motorway).

Rabat has no commercial airport of its own — most travellers arrive via CMN (Casablanca) or by train. Most local agencies are based in the Agdal or Hassan districts, close to the train station and the main boulevards. Rates in Rabat run 10–15% above Casablanca due to lower agency competition. If price is the priority and your schedule is flexible, picking up in Casablanca and driving 1 hour north to Rabat is a cost-effective alternative.
