Car Rental Agadir

Agadir is Morocco's premier beach resort and the best base for exploring the Atlantic coast and Anti-Atlas mountains. A rental car opens up day trips to Taghazout (30 minutes north), Tiznit (1 hour south), Taroudant in the Souss valley (1.5 hours east), and the pre-Sahara landscape via the Tizi n'Test mountain pass. Rates are similar to Marrakech in low season but rise sharply in July and August when European visitors peak.

Al Massira Airport (AGA) is 25 km east of the city centre — around 25 minutes on the well-maintained N10. Most agencies offer airport pickup or a free shuttle to their lot. The road network around Agadir is modern and in excellent condition. A standard city car is sufficient for beach trips and the main coastal routes; if you plan to head into the Anti-Atlas foothills or beyond Tiznit toward Sidi Ifni, a crossover gives more comfort on unpaved sections.
